Project premise
A library and cultural space that translates emotion, perception, events and movement into a field of spatial encounters.
Library / Cultural space
Beilin historic district
School proposal + independent revision
Revised proposal
01 / Research
The original project developed an entity-sense-field framework. Emotional impressions were abstracted into elements, then combined into spatial situations involving enclosure, exposure, encounter, hesitation and movement.
This research became a catalogue of possible relationships rather than a fixed formal vocabulary.
02 / Revision
The later independent revision shifts attention from isolated emotional rooms to the uncertain relationship between architecture and use. Parallel drawing sequences test the building as an object, as an empty spatial condition and as a field occupied by events.
03 / Proposal
Courtyards, reading rooms, water, screens, stairs and changing light form a porous composition within the historic district. Routes overlap and spaces remain open to more than one interpretation, allowing visitors to construct their own sequence.
